JENNA & CHASE | A WEDDING @ THE ROSE

Butterscotch Rose Photography

Timeless. That’s the word that came to mind after first hearing Jenna describe how she envisioned her wedding to Chase. While some of the final details differed a bit from the initial description, I think the final result was even better!

Jenna and Chase arrived to The Rose event center in downtown Golden eager to get their wedding underway. As the Bride and Groom finished getting dressed, their vendors, such as Kimball Floral and Grand Gestures, arrived and began to set the space. The room transformed from that of a concert hall to an elegant wedding venue. Black table linens, black napkins, and black chairs set the formal tone for the room. Simple greenery with scattered votive and floating candles adorned the tables illuminating the gold charger plates identifying each guest’s seat for dinner later in the evening. Four-foot-tall letters spelling LOVE, provided by Grand Gestures, took sentry in front of the stage setting the mindful purpose for the evening as 3 towering wooden mountain peaks with metal caps, reminiscent of Colorado’s snow-capped mountains, provided the perfect picturesque backdrop for the ceremony.

The ceremony was held on stage, which allowed all of their 130 guests to easily be able to see the couple. Drum risers were utilized to allow the large wedding party to stagger their presence, which allowed them to be closer to the couple during the nuptials.

Guests were invited back to the Lobby space for Cocktail Hour which featured both stationed and passed hors d’oeuvres to include a Cheese Assortment, Chimichurri Beef Flatbread Crostinis, Colorado Lamb Meatballs, and Pumpkin Seed Pesto Canapés. Guests also enjoyed a fully hosted bar featuring 2 signature cocktails, each named after one of the couple’s dogs. The couple had managed to take a majority of their photos prior to the ceremony, to include a private first-look between the Bride and Groom, which then allowed the newlyweds to join their guests during Cocktail Hour. Being able to mingle with their guests during this time meant that they could later enjoy their dinner instead of needing to rush their meal to then meet-and-greet their guests.

The dinner buffet featured prime rib and marinated grilled chicken and various side dishes. As the couple was directed to cut their cake, event staff broke down the tables on the dance floor; this allowed room for a large dance floor. A small cutting cake and various cupcakes were provided by Gold Mine Cupcakes. Jenna & Chase were then invited to perform their first dance. Colorado Wedding Productions then opened the dance floor to all guests who eager joined the newlyweds. I Love the Booth (photo booth) had arrived and setup during dinner – presenting guests with a phenomenal photo booth with loads of fun props.

Guests formed an aisle for the Bride and Groom to run through for their Grand Exit. The couple first went to the Golden Hotel to quickly change cloths before returning to join their guests for the after-party taking place at the local dive bar, the Ace-Hi.

This wedding was a true success! One full of beauty, love, and laughter. Many warm wishes to Jenna and Chase as you begin your lives together. Your wedding is truly timeless and your décor has already proven as inspiration for future wedding at The Rose. Cheers to the newlyweds!
