KATE & LEONID | SUNRISE AMPHITHEATER & REMBRANDT YARD WEDDING
Chad Fahnestock Photography

Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder, Colorado has to have one of the most spectacular vistas along the front range. Sitting at just below an altitude of 7,000 feet, this rustic outdoor facility surrounded by a Douglas fir forest is made from local stone features a large circular area, a small stage, seating for 150, and magnificent views. What an ideal spot for the destination wedding ceremony of Kate and Leonid.
Being that this couple resides in Washington, DC, our first conversation was via a phone call. I could tell right away that Kate was a well-organized individual and was on the fence as to IF she really even needed a Day-of Coordinator. Luckily I quickly impressed her as I asked many questions that she hadn’t even thought of. We quickly became a well-matched client/coordinator team.
As a destination wedding for many of their guests, Kate and Leonid wanted to ensure that their wedding not only allowed guests to experience Colorado, but also one where they were WOWED and tended to. This began with a welcome party for all guests following the rehearsal dinner, continued the next day with transportation to and from the ceremony site, a popcorn bar and iced water for guests to enjoy during the brief ceremony, and a handcrafted chuppah that the groom’s father-in-law designed and built framing the view of the town of Boulder far below
Cocktail hour took place in the Stone Shelter atop Flagstaff Mountain – just a 5-minute walk up the road. Guests were welcomed with a hosted bar, an ice cream station, and lawn games. Guests then boarded shuttles to be transported down to Rembrandt Yard, a local art gallery in downtown Boulder.
Upon arrival to the Rembrandt yard, guests enjoyed a 2nd cocktail hour before being invited upstairs for dinner. Rocky Mountain Catering provided a phenomenal dining experience including a risotto bar. The groom’s mother handmade the jaw-dropping and incredible sweet’s station featuring a cutting cake and a wide variety of cupcakes, dessert bars, and almond cookies. Guests were entertained and guided by the Carl Kuck, with Colorado Wedding Productions, who acted as the Master of Ceremonies for the event. The dance floor was packed the entire night, to include the dancing of the hora.
I could go on and on about all the amazing little details to this wedding but the photos from Chad Fahnestock Photography tell the story much more beautifully.
Kate and Leonid, thank you for inviting All Four Seasons Events to be a part of your wedding day in all the best ways.
