Erika and Galen had us swooning over their vintage-inspired wedding at The Rose event center. Erika loves the glitz and glamour of the ’20s so the minute she laid eyes on The Rose, she knew it was the venue of her dreams. LANZ Photography perfectly captured the venue architectural beauty and old-world feel. The groom added to the formality of the day by wearing a spectacular kilt! With timeless and elegant touches, their wedding day embodied romance, elegance, and pure love.

When it came to planning their wedding, Erika and Galen wanted to draw on a time of romanticism. The marquee above the entrance doors to the venue read: “Forever is composed of nows,” by Emily Dickinson. As guests entered the lobby space they were immediately transported back in time. Classic black and white videos played on the television screens and the space was decorated with vintage decor. The floral decor provided by Petals Colorado consisted of ivory and pale green with hints of gold to accent the romantic up-lighting.

The couple also wanted to pay tribute to their heritage. The bride incorporated some Native American elements, to include sage at the ceremony, which is used as a ritual to cleanse a space and to promote healing and wisdom , and feathers in her bouquet . The groom donned a spectacular kilt in honor of his Celtic heritage and the wedding processional was led by a bagpiper. 

Throughout the ceremony and reception, it was easy to see how much Erika and Galen care for each other. In keeping with tradition, they didn’t do a first look, which made the moment Erika walked down the aisle that much more emotional. When Galen first set eyes on his bride, she actually took his breath away for a brief second, and it was beautiful!
